Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 12, 2026. WhatAnimalAmIQuiz.com is designed to work without an account, personal profile, or database of quiz answers. This policy explains what happens in your browser, what limited information hosting and analytics providers may process, and what the site deliberately does not collect.

Quiz answers

Quiz answers are processed inside your browser. During an active quiz, answer IDs and the current question may be placed in session storage so the same tab can recover from an accidental refresh. Session storage is scoped to that browser tab session. The full answer path is not sent to our analytics events or stored in a server-side user record.

When you complete or retake a quiz, the active state can be cleared. We may count a quiz completion and the resulting animal ID to understand completion rates and result distribution. That event does not include the sequence of answers used to reach the result.

Chinese zodiac dates

The Chinese zodiac calculator processes the date you enter entirely in browser memory. The date is compared with a local table of Lunar New Year boundaries and is not written to a URL, cookie, local storage, session storage, or custom analytics payload. If a calculator event is measured, it contains only the resulting zodiac animal.

Analytics and hosting data

The site uses Google Analytics to measure visits and understand how pages are used. Google Analytics may set measurement cookies and process information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, and referral source. The site does not send quiz answer paths, birth dates, names, or email addresses to Google Analytics.

Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery, and security. Hosting and analytics providers can process ordinary request information such as an IP address, requested URL, timestamp, and browser headers to deliver pages, measure traffic, prevent abuse, and operate their services. We do not add custom fingerprint fields or use this information to create our own advertising profiles.

Product events are limited to actions such as quiz view, start, completion, result ID, share method, retake, variant navigation, profile view, and zodiac result animal. These events are intended to answer product questions such as whether a quiz is difficult to finish or one result appears too often.

Sharing

When supported, the result share button uses your device’s native sharing interface. The site generates a result image containing the animal, three traits, and the site name. It does not add your name or answer data. If native file sharing is unavailable, the fallback copies a clean profile or quiz link to your clipboard.

Children

The kids quiz does not request a name, age, school, location, email address, or social account. It uses positive result language and directs sharing language toward a supervising adult. The site is not designed to create accounts or collect contact information from children.

Your choices and contact

You can clear an active quiz by closing the tab, using the retake action, or clearing browser session data. Because there are no user accounts or stored answer histories, there is no profile dashboard to delete. Privacy questions and correction requests can be sent to privacy@whatanimalamiquiz.com.
